Payroll Certifications (CPP / FPC)

Local Certified Payroll Professionals (CPP’s) have volunteered to form a study group to assist and mentor those individuals who are interested in taking the National American Payroll Association’s Certified Payroll Professional examination. These tests are given in April-May and September-October of each year. The group meetings will be held twice a week.

What is the CPP/FPC? The goals of the APA Certification program are to promote the standard for payroll professionals, to encourage professional growth and individual study by payroll professionals, to provide the standard of requisite knowledge for the payroll professional, to measure by means of the certification examination the attainment and application of that standard, and to recognize formally those colleagues who continue to meet the requirements of the APA Certification Board. The FPC designation is for those without extensive payroll experience, but who wish to further their knowledge. The CPP designation is for those with more payroll experience, who also wish to further their knowledge as well as obtain a recognizable certification in the payroll industry.
